Joshua Tree Music Festival

If you're a Californian and never been to Joshua Tree, it's high time you visit!

When is the perfect time to visit the Mohave high desert? Springtime. In fact, May is a great time of the year to visit the high desert.

The 15th annual Joshua Tree Music Festival on May 18-21, 2017 will be a great weekend to visit Joshua Tree. May is just right... not too HOT in the day and still crisp in the evening. This desert area is beautiful at dawn with beautiful sunrises and changing landscapes as the sun carries it's shade over the hills. Those that love to camp must arrive earlier in the week to stake out their site. There are a number of AirBnb opportunities in the area like The Cabin at Windy Gap hosted by my friends Nicole & Micha. Take a moment to click through their cabin's photos to see those desert sunrises!

During your stay, reserve a couple hours to drive through Joshua Tree National Park. "The higher and cooler Mojave Desert is the special habitat of Yucca brevifolia, the Joshua tree for which the park is named. It occurs in patterns from dense forests to distantly spaced specimens." My thanks to Google for that succinct description.

Joshua Tree is home to professionals, entrepreneurs, artists, healers, musicians and multi-talented people who choose to telecommute so they can call this magical small town home.

If you can't make it this May, plan to visit July 27-30 or October 5-8, both music festivals are great. The weather is warmer in July and October so great time for sun-worshipers and the evenings are perfect for star-gazing and finding those UFO's in the sky.
